About Us

Severn Vale Turf is a family run business which was created in 1978 by Michael Leslie Hoskins. His son Les now carries on the company, keeping it running smoothly and efficiently, supplying good quality turf as has always been done. Severn Vale Turf has been operating for well over 30 years throughout the Gloucestershire area. With this experience and knowledge, it has made them into one of Gloucestershire’s leading turf suppliers for all domestic and commercial users. 

The family business stems back over 150 years. Both Les' grandfather and great grandfather were both farmers, farming in the Cotswolds and surrounding counties, through to the mid 1950's when Michael ran a successful haulage business operating a fleet of tipper trucks. In 1978 the company came full circle, creating Severn Vale Turf where it is still going strong today.
